The River Story

Once Upon a River... flows through all the quirks and vagaries that form India’s water scenario. A watery quilt held together by individuals who refuse to let it all fall apart. Clichés apart, they really are our unsung heroes. Their stories are told by the filmmakers and in their own voices as each of these people meet another of their ilk through the film’s journey.

Cooking for Kannagi

Springtime in Attukal is divine. The fragrance of incense, sandalwood and coconut oil mingles with the acrid smoke from thousands of open hearths - as women take to the streets to cook for a Goddess.

The film joins women on their journey of faith to Attukal - the gateway to the Goddess - for what is an incredible celebration of feminine power. A gathering that is bound to shock by its sheer numbers and a belief that will sway the most unyielding sceptic.
