• Co-Director & Scriptwriter "Adding Life To Days" a fundraiser for Cansupport, a National cancer support organisation.
• Editor & Scriptwriter "A Changing View" - a 25 minute film about an insurance scheme and hospital run by the tribal communities of Guddalore, Karnataka.
• Director & Scriptwriter "A Time For Stories" - a film on an Indian literary festival commissioned by PSBT, India [Public Service Broadcasting Trust]. The film looks at issues of identity through storytelling and features an extensive conversation with writer, Sundara Ramaswamy.

2003

• Co-Director & Scriptwriter "Khamoshi Kyon" [in Hindi] & "Talk Positive" [in English] a 13-part talk show on HIV-AIDS issues hosted by Neena Gupta and telecast on Doordarshan.
• Co-Director &Scriptwriter - "Murky Water" "Wasting Away" "Holy Smoke" "Match-Box City" a series of 8 minute films on urban pollution. Commissioned by TERI [The Energy Research Institute].
• Director & Scriptwriter "Kalpavriksha" a documentary on medicinal plants and folk healers commissioned by UNESCO.

• Co-Director & Scriptwriter "Terra Quiz" a 13-episode National quiz programme produced by TERI - telecast on Doordarshan.
• Researcher, "Shores Of Silence" an award winning documentary on whaleshark hunting in India. The film won the Green Oscar at Wildscreen.

1999
• Co-Director & Scriptwriter "2 Peoples, One Movement" a film comparing peoples movements to save the environment. The film was the result of a documentary workshop organized by Thomson Foundation, Wales and the European Union for which 12 Indians were chosen.

1998

A graduate in Zoology, her early childhood was spent on the Chennai coast and she was actively involved with the Student Sea Turtle Conservation Network there for more than 10 years. Later she got a Masters degree in Film and Television from New Delhi's Jamia Millia University.

Nina has always worked on films that deal with environment and development issues. Her first directorial venture "Kalpavriksha, Legacy of the Forests" is a film on medicinal plants commissioned by UNESCO. The film won an award at Vatavaran 2003. She also directed Khamoshi Kyon, a talk show on AIDS-related issues for the National Network.

She was one of 12 Indians selected to participate in an environment documentary workshop by the Thomson Foundation, Wales in 1999. This resulted in a film 'Two Peoples One Movement' a documentary comparing peoples' movements in Europe and India.

In 2001, Nina co-founded a film collective called Elephant Corridor and has been working independently under this banner since. Her productions under Elephant Corridor have been showcased in festivals in India and abroad.

Nina is also a skilled still photographer and writer. She has scripted all her films as well as designed their publicity packages.
